The Problem We Saw

Australia has approximately 17,000 dental practices. The majority are independent or small-group practices run by dentists who trained to provide excellent clinical care — not to manage marketing funnels, automate billing or optimise patient recall systems. Yet these operational tasks consume a growing share of a dentist's working week.

Meanwhile, corporate dental chains have invested heavily in technology. Centralised booking systems, automated marketing and data-driven patient management give them a structural advantage in efficiency and growth. Independent practices have been left to compete on clinical quality alone — which matters, but is not enough when the practice down the road has twice the marketing reach and half the admin overhead.

We saw an opportunity to close that gap using AI.

What We Built

AI for Dentists is a resource created by Flowtivity to help Australian dental practices understand and adopt AI automation. We do not just provide information — we build the actual automations. Who Is Behind This

AI for Dentists is built by Flowtivity, an AI consultancy based on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Flowtivity was founded by AJ Awan, who spent over six years in management consulting at EY advising major Australian organisations on technology strategy, process improvement and business transformation.

After leaving EY, AJ recognised that the same AI capabilities transforming enterprise operations could be made accessible to growing Australian businesses — at a price point that made sense. Flowtivity combines enterprise-grade methodology with practical, affordable implementation.

Our Approach

We start with a free assessment because every dental practice is different. A solo practice in regional Queensland has different needs to a four-chair practice in suburban Melbourne. The assessment identifies the highest-impact automation opportunities — the ones that will save the most time, recover the most revenue or improve the patient experience most visibly.
